Provisional merit list announced the on Friday. The list ranks all the 2.31 lakh applicants on the basis of their scores. It enables students to check their personal details and marks before they are considered for the first cut-off list scheduled to be announced on July 5.
According to the list, four students with 100% marks have applied for a FYJC seat as opposed to 15 last year. Of the four, one student each has opted for arts and commerce stream, while the other two have applied for science stream. All the four students are from the SSC board. A total of 125 SSC students scored a perfect 100 this year; the numbers were down from 193 in 2017.
This year, 16,462 aspirants have a score of 90% and above. Of these, 2,795 have scored 95% and above. Last year, the corresponding numbers were 13,575 and 2,584.
While commerce has the highest number of applications—1.43 lakh, the top scorers continue to prefer science, revealed the data. Among students who scored 90% and above, 10,787 students have selected science, but only 4,873 have applied under the commerce stream. The arts stream has found only four takers, down from seven last year.
